Today we had some students present their final presentations that they had been working on in writing class. We also did a fun Math packet with brain teasers inside.

Today was Pajama Day for our March Madness week. Tomorrow it is Crazy Hat/Hair Day.

Homework:

Math: finish page 193 in your workbook. We had class time to work on this page. Do 1 and 3 on Homework 6.4.  People who did not do Homework 6.3 over the weekend need to finish that as well. I also need the Math Unit 5 test signed and returned.

Writing: final writing is due Friday-work on it at home if you are not close to being done.

Reading: get poem signed for Tuesday

Today we played some word games after school.  We also spent time on our Historical Fiction Book Clubs.

Happy Birthday Jason-thanks for the cookie snack!  Today we worked hard on correcting Math HWK 6.2.  I told my class to bring it home and try some of the problems again if they didn't get all of the correct answers.

Today we learned about how to greet others with manners during Eagle Training.  Just a reminder that you need to stop by the office to sign your child out if you are picking them up early.  You should not be in the hallways by the classrooms without a visitor badge.

Today we learned about the subject of a sentence-I will post the School House Rock video we watched.  We also used the Chrome Books to investigate our historical time periods of our historical fiction books.

Homework:

Math: HWK 6.1 all, due tomorrow.  Pg 187 2-4 and pg 188 5-7 in their workbook. They had time for these in class, but not all students used their work time wisely.

Reading: Read your poetry to someone and get it signed!

Other: 11 am dismissal tomorrow

3 Screens Productions

3-7-13

Today we had 3 Screens Productions come to our school to show a movie on being an action hero.  Ask you child about what lesson they learned. It had normal kids who were being heroes by being active, compassionate, and generous.

Homework:

Conferences today.  T-Shirt Designs, Fang, and Book It due tomorrow. Any kids who won the pizza party for perfect attendance 1st semester do not need to bring a lunch tomorrow.  11 am dismissal next Tuesday, March 12th

Today we had Guidance and Spanish.  We also started to learn about the French and Indian War in Social Studies.

Today we had library and art.  We talked about finding the setting of a story (time and place).  We are also trying to find information about our historical time periods in our book club groups.

Homework:

Other: 11 am dismissal Thursday and Tuesday the 12th.  Conference slips due-conferences Thursday and the 21st. T-Shirt drawings due Friday

Reading: 4th Fang due, and Feb. Book It calendars due. Get poem signed if you didn't last night.

Math: do some of the practice test and have parents sign green slip saying you studied.

Today we got to see a Jumprope Presentation from a group of kids from Sheboygan.  It was awesome!
