Today some kids had issues with fighting, throwing food, and making bad choices when someone else tells them to do something bad and they follow.  Please talk to your kids about making the right choices in these last few weeks of school.

If you are wanting to go to the Tundra Lodge field trip on June 7th, remember that you must have a current background check filed in the office. I think if you filled one out for Bay Beach last year, that will be expired, so you need to do a new one. Contact the office ASAP to find out if it is still possible to get one done.

We will be sending the slips home on Monday for that trip.

Other: RSVP for 5th grade graduation, talent show narrator slip due Monday

Today we went to  Maplewood Middle School in the morning.  The kids took a tour, listened to students share information, and watched a presentation about internet safety.  Ask your child about it!

Homework:

Reading: return summer library note, return all overdue books, or pay the fine.  Return signed opinion paper.

Math: None

Other: popcorn money, yearbook money, talent show narrator notes, 5th grade graduation RSVP

We had a great time at the track meet this morning-the weather was perfect! Some of us got a bit too much sun, though!  We worked on Math and Social Studies in the afternoon.  Tomorrow morning we are going to the middle school for a tour. Please be on time to school!

5-14-13

Today we talked about our track meet tomorrow. Please make sure to wear layers.  We will be wearing BDM t-shirts we have at school, so I told kids maybe to wear a tank top that the shirt can be pulled over. Then wearing a zip up sweatshirt just in case would be a good idea too.  Shorts that are better for sports and tennis shoes with socks need to be worn as well.  It is supposed to be nice and sunny, so putting on sunscreen might be appropriate too. You can wear a hat or visor as long as you take it off during your event, and when listening to the National Anthem.

Please be on time to school tomorrow, we will be walking over at 8:30.

Math: HWK 8.5, we worked on it in class, but some need to finish it or check it over.

Today we had Music and Gym. It was the first time in a long time that nobody got a negative Dojo point in music! Way to go!!!!

We also worked on our Andrew Clements Author Study spreadsheet and made sure all of our pictures for our Revolutionary War project were ready to go.
